At age 17, I dove into the world of interpreting, volunteering my time to help Deaf friends communicate with others. My passion for finding meaning in people's expressions (both deaf and hearing) led me to work in private practice and as a staff interpreter, to mentor with colleagues, and to engage in ongoing training and dialogue.
Now, over 35 years later, I believe that I bring a breadth of experience and skill to interpreting. As a mentor, I applies a dialogic approach when working with others. Formerly from Massachusetts and Rhode Island, I now reside in the DC area with my partner Jeff. We're proud Dads of three great kids.
I recently served in the capacity of Membership Coordinator, Vice President of Membership, and Webmaster for PCRID. Throughout 2011 I served as President.
